I'm Meredith
Halenbeck.
Hello - I’m an artist born and raised in California, living in the San Francisco Bay Area. After receiving a Fine Arts degree with a focus on printmaking at university, I spent over a decade working as a graphic designer across both freelance and in-house positions. Today, my focus has shifted back toward creating original relief prints and developing my personal artistic practice.
My work

Nature and the multifaceted experience of women serve as the foundation for my work. Each design begins through a combination of hand-drawn illustration and digital development, allowing ideas to evolve organically throughout the creative process.
Using traditional relief printmaking techniques, I carve each linoleum block entirely by hand. The slow process of carving creates space for concentration and discovery as the composition comes to life mark by mark.

Each print is produced by hand on a traditional rolling press and printed onto archival, acid-free cotton paper prepared to size by hand. Black relief ink is most commonly used throughout the collections, though touches of color occasionally appear.
Each finished print is hand titled, signed, and dated before being carefully prepared for shipping.
The entire process - from concept and carving to printing and packaging - is completed solely by me, ensuring every piece remains deeply personal and handmade.
